Fourth Stimulus Check Update | $1400 Holiday Stimulus Package Update Today | Stock Market | Social Security Update 2022

Right, guys, when it comes to what's going on in politics today, we're going to hear from health specialists in regards to what's going on with this new variant. And is it a super spreader? Can it spread across the country faster than most of us? US even realize they're going to give us some details and how it not only impacts us but how it impacts our children. And if you stay to the end of this topic, we're going to be discussing a $1,400 stimulus check that may be available to those of you that lost income between 2019 and 2020.

Remember, during that time period, we were all in quarantine. We're going to talk about all that in details here on Mostly Money. Well, my name is Harry. Where you're going to get all Fax, no fake, no phony, and no fluffed up information when it comes to what's going on in politics today. And if you're interested in getting the truth on a daily basis where you made it to the right channel, all you need to do for yourself now is one thing. Subscribe to our website.

So you get the latest and greatest information coming from Our website because we're going to always be here for you and your loved ones. Let's get started. As I was saying, the new variant that has come from South Africa, they're also starting to shut down a lot of locations, a lot of countries in Europe as well. The President has already announced that it used to be. In order to come into the United States, you would have to have a PCR test that was at least three days in advance before your flight took off to come to the United States.

He's changed that. Now you only have 24 hours. In other words, he wants a test from a person 24 hours before they get on a plane to come into the United States. But is that enough? Is this period even worse than COVID? Worse than Delta? What is it all about? We're going to listen to the experts and they're going to give us some details.

We want to go now to former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, who sits on the boards of Pfizer and Illumina. Good morning to you, Doctor.

Good morning.

We have heard from the administration. There are a couple of dozen OMA Cron cases nowhere in the United States, Dr. Fauchi said this morning too early still, but it does not. Look, there's a great degree of severity to it.

Is it too early to say that it's too early to say that right now the infections, the best data is coming out of South Africa because they simply have more cases? And right now, all the evidence is that a lot of the people who are presenting with infection from this new variant are people who've been previously infected with Delta. Remember, South Africa had a very devastating Delta wave. Probably more than 90% of people in South Africa who are in the vaccine were infected with Delta, so we don't know whether or not this new strain is inherently less virulent.

So it's a more moderate strain of covet. It's not causing a severe illness or whether it's presenting that way simply because it's infecting people who already have some pre-existing immunity. So they have some protection from Kovan, so they're getting infected, but they're not getting as sick.

Well, the latest infection we heard of overnight was in the state of Connecticut where you live, and it looks like that individual has a connection back to that New York City convention that happened around mid-November. Is that now a super spreader event for gatherings of that size in New York? You have to go through some screenings. They do require vaccination. Is this indicating to you some greater degree of a worry than what you were saying last week?

Well, look, it's certainly a greater degree of worry hearing these anecdotes that conferences in that convention in New York only requires one dose of vaccine. We don't know the quality of the masks that people were aware of, and we have to presume most of them a cloth masks, which aren't going to provide a very high degree of protection against something that's airborne like this. And we also have to keep in mind that we hear the anecdotes of the super spreader events like this. We have a single introduction in a lot of cases coming out of it.

What we don't hear about are all the situations where someone with this new variant came into contact with people, and there wasn't any forward transmission because those don't get reported because there's no cases that result. So I think we need to be careful about over-interpreting these events. Now, that said, it's concerning when you see a single introduction into a concrete setting and 30 infections resulting from it, or more like we saw in Oslo, that does suggest something that's clearly airborne and looks more like measles than like the flu in South Africa.

You are also seeing a spike in hospitalizations of those under the age of five. For parents like me, how concerned do we need to be?

Yeah, that's concerning. I mean, overall, about 11% of hospitalizations have been under the age of two. And if you look a little above that about, I think, below the age of nine, almost 20% of hospitalizations in some of the hospitals, it's confounded by the fact that they're having a very big flu epidemic also in South Africa right now. And when a toddler presents to the hospital with a respiratory illness, what I'm told by physicians on the ground is that they make a presumptive diagnosis of covert, even if the kid doesn't test positive for covert out of an abundance of caution.

So there may be some over-reporting of covert positives when it comes to very young children. But that's concerning we have to surmise that the kids are sort of a preserved population. They haven't had Delta infection at the same rate as adults, and they also haven't been vaccinated because they haven't rolled out vaccines to children below the age of twelve and any appreciable numbers. So the kids are more vulnerable population to any new variant.

As he was saying. And as she asked, she said that she's a parent and she's concerned about her children in this variant. So she wants to make sure that her children are protected. She asked him, should she be concerned or should parents be concerned? And he said yes. So when it comes to your children and this is the holiday season, they're going to be out of school in a couple of weeks for a couple of weeks. And therefore you want to make sure that you monitor where your children go if your children are not vaccinated, because none of us want this to catch us off guard, especially with our loved ones.

Now, when it comes to this 1001 4000 hundred dollars stimulus check or stimulus surprise that I was telling you guys about. If you are an individual that lost income between 2019 and 2020, you may be eligible for an extra or receiving a stimulus check in which you did not receive before it is called or is a part of the plus-up payments. Now we were talking about the plus-up payments right around May, August, September, after April, payments have been issued on the President buying 1000 initial $1,400 payment.

Well, those plus-up payments are still available to individuals that lost income. So maybe you were making a certain amount of money in 2019. And then when 2020 pandemic hit, you lost everything, your job opportunities and your income went down. Well, you may be eligible if you did not receive the money that filled the gap. In other words, in order to be eligible for this, this is what a person needs to be if you're a single filer tax filer. If you make less than $75,000 a year, you are eligible.

If you are a couple, a married couple and you make less than $150,000 a year, you may be eligible. And if you are filing head of household on your taxes for 2020, then you may be eligible. If you make less than $112,500, you may be eligible to receive this extra 1001 4000 hundred dollars. If you are a person as a filer or a nonfiler, you want to make sure that you file your forms with the IRS when it comes to your 2020 taxes no later than December 31.

The IRS has already said that they're ready to send out these payments for individuals that have not received the correct amount of money that they were supposed to receive based off of your income between 2019 and 2020. So this is what you're going to do. You're going to reach out to the person that's either filing your taxes or you can reach out to TurboTax about it, or you can also reach out to the IRS, and they will give you further information on their website regarding the plus up payments.

That's what it's called the plus-up payments. They said that once they receive your 2021 taxes or even if you file as a nonfiler in 2020, they will reach out to you and you will be receiving a check or payment or deposit within two weeks. So that'll be a good surprise for that'll be a great amount of money of $1,400 during the holidays. And as I mentioned before, it's called the plus-up payment program. And it's for those of you that have lost a certain amount of income between 2019 and 2020, and you did not receive the correct amount of money in regards to Stimulus.
